Family Room and Kitchen
 A
very comfortable and functional area which guests from the Red,
Gold and White
rooms use, opens onto a large patio. This area is pleasant all seasons
of the year. It is also used as a small conference room that can seat
15-20 people in the family room and 15-20 people in the kitchen/dining
area. The walls are paneled in solid Quaking Aspen and accented with
native Cedar. The ceiling features an exposed area of native pine beams.
Phil constructed the rock fireplace, hearth and wainscot of local stone
when they built the house. When first viewed by Grandma
Carter she exclaimed "What a pile of ugly rocks!" Often
family groups reserve this whole set of rooms.
